Luanda - A delegation headed by the Minister of Tourism, Márcio Daniel, will travel on Wednesday to the town of Bico de Angola, in the province of Cuando Cubango, to identify private investment opportunities in the region.
A note from the ministry, to which ANGOP had access, indicates that Angolan investors, technical teams and local authorities will take part in the visit to assess the conditions and opportunities existing in the area.
“Located in the Luengue Luiana Park and belonging to the Angolan component of the Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area (ATFC-KAZA), Bico de Angola has ideal conditions for carrying out eco-tourism, scientific and adventure tourism, activities already structured in neighboring countries”, considers the ministry.
According to the document, its privileged location, rich fauna and flora and the area's tourist potential are of interest to national and foreign investors in the sector.
Since there is also great interest on the part of tourists in getting to know this area of the country, the note adds, it is essential that all conditions are created to receive them and thus trigger the development of the area, creation of jobs and revenue collection.
“Given the characteristics of the region, it is possible to do photographic safari activities, highlighting the Big 5 of African fauna: lion, elephant, hippopotamus, rhinoceros, leopard and African buffalo or even bird watching, internationally known as birdwatching, due to of existing endemic bird species”, it reads.
