Luanda – At least 88 exhibitors from the automobile industry have been presenting, since Wednesday, Sept 11, in Luanda Bay, their products in different automotive areas.
The initiative is from the governor of the province of Luanda, Manuel Homem, and brings together several players, such as banks, insurance companies, dealerships, official brand representatives, mechanic workshops, service providers, mobility applications and representatives of lubricant manufacturers.
According to the coordinator of 2024 Luanda Expo Car, Justo Eliseu, the event appears as a catalyst for positive changes for the automotive industry, contributing to a more sustainable and safe future for Angola.
At least seven thousand visitors are expected daily at the event.
For this 2nd edition, Justo Eliseu said that the organization intends to exceed the result of the last edition by 25%, amounting to more than AKz1Billion (US$1.075.450 roughly), with conference rooms, business-to-business meetings, as well as the launch of brands and models, a Karting track and a children's area, as well as raffles and vehicle auctions.
In turn, the director for Licensing, Training and Certification of the National Land Transport Agency, Octávio Afonso, said that the event aims to promote several automotive brands in the country, as well as other related services.
In this context, he said that the regulatory company is interested, as they will guarantee a security service that can meet the country's mobility needs.
He mentioned that Expo Car brings a range of vehicles, from family, sports, executive, service and technical assistance.
As for participation, Justo Eliseu said that it makes perfect sense, since the body has guaranteed safety and above all legality within the land transport sub-sector.
Regarding concerns, Justo Eliseu said that they have to do with safety issues, and it is important, as a regulatory body, to send a message to operators about the observance of safety standards while carrying out their functions, with the agency being very focused on legality issues.
