Luanda - One hundred and 64 kilograms of cocaine were seized this Wednesday morning, in the Port of Luanda, by agents of the Criminal Investigation Services (SIC), in the possession of two Lebanese citizens.

The information was forwarded to ANGOP by a source from this police agency, noting that the two citizens involved were immediately detained to help clarify other occurrences in that space and in others.

In a telephone conversation, the said authority explained that
the drug came embedded in OMO detergent sacks and boxes of perishable products, which were then weighed at Luanda International Airport. "As part of our investigations, this
Wednesday, in the Port of Luanda, we seized 164 kilograms of coca, but they were weighed here at the AIL”.

There are two Lebanese detainees, the source informed.

It is recalled that two weeks ago, Alberto Matondo, 36, and Patrick Capanga, 48, died in Luanda for having ingested more than 100 capsules of cocaine that they intended to transport to Istanbul, Republic of Turkey.

According to the spokesman for the Criminal Investigation Service (SIC), Superintendent Manuel Halaiwa, the two deaths occurred suddenly, the first taking place at 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, where the citizen Alberto Matondo collapsed.

He explained that the victim, who had lived in Istanbul for more than three years, died in the restaurant area of the Passenger Departure Terminal, while the check-in of Turkish Air Lines flight TK-794 was taking place.

On his turn, the other citizen, identified by Patrick Adilson Capanga, who intended to continue his journey to the same
destination, also died in the same circumstances, in a guest-house in Samba district, where he was staying.
