Luanda – Angolan president João Lourenço announced Saturday in Luanda the continued modernisation of public media, in particular the Angola Press Agency (ANGOP-E.P).
In his State of the Nation Address, João Lourenço also pledged to work on improving conditions of the state-run News Paper (Edições Novembro).
He also said the Executive will monitor the installing process of digitalisation services of the public television (TPA).
On the other hand, João Lourenço announced plans for revisions of the Statute of Journalists and the Angolan Media Regulatory Authority (ERCA, as well as the conclusion of the revision of the Legislative Package for Social Communication.
As for Telecommunications and Information Technologies, he announced the extension of the national radio station (RNA) signal, voice and data services, as well as the creation of community radios.
