Caxito - Residents in the northern Bengo province have recently stressed the main gains achieved during the year about to end.
The residents highlighted the projects carried out under the Integrated Intervention Plan in Municipalities (PIIM), the works of general hospital and the completion of the first phase of the integrated infrastructures of Caxito municipality.
Speaking to ANGOP, Correia Sebastião João said the construction of these large infrastructures demonstrates that with small investments many projects can be carried out.
He added that the implementation of these big projects is a sign of development in the province.
Professor Loreto Mendes underlined the social and economic gains in the region, including the project to facelift the capital city, Caxito, and the inauguration of the Polytechnic Higher Institute of Bengo.
In her turn, Isabel João Gaspar da Silva, also local resident, acknowledged the
achievements in the province, but she called on government to do more.
Evaristo Gaspar acknowledged the improvements recorded in the region, but called for more improvement in the sectors of education and health, in terms of technicians.
Arlindo Kenda said the city of Caxito has changed, especially with regard to secondary roads. But he urged the government to improve access routes to municipalities, mainly that of Nambuangongo road.
