Luanda - A train of Moçâmedes Railway (CFM), with 20 wagons, including two fuel tanks, 17 container carriers and a van, derailed Thursday in Quipamba area, in Bibala municipality, south-west Namibe province.
According to a note from CFM, reached ANGOP, the derailment resulted in the overturn of six vehicles, including two fuel tanks and four container trucks.
The accident occurred around 8:20am, resulting in the damage of about 200 metres of railway and destruction of three containers, one of which caught fire.
The causes of the accidents are still unknown.
CFM's Board has set up an investigation commission to find out the causes of the accident, the source added.
