Saurimo – The Solidarity Movement of Angola (Movangola) will maintain, this year, partnerships with several social and economic strata of Lunda-Sul, aiming to participate in solving problems in the communities, revealed this Friday, in Saurimo, its leader, Domingos Quiala.
Speaking to ANGOP, Domingos Quiala maintained that contributing with ideas to solve the problems that communities face constitutes one of Movangola's goals, as a partner organization of the State.
Among the goals advocated by his organization, he highlighted the rescue of ethical and moral values, financial literacy and the preservation of public assets.
He stated that the non-governmental organization also intends to carry out solidarity actions in health units, villages and more hard access locations, as well as promoting professional training actions for young people in the province of Lunda-Sul.
For this year, it also plans to mobilize a greater number of young people to support health units with blood donations.
Regarding the actions carried out last year, Domingos Quiala considered that the balance was positive with 80% of the programmed being fulfilled.
He highlighted the training of young people in the areas of project development for external financing, the aim of which is to attract international partners to invest in the region, in collaboration with national entrepreneurs.
He mentioned that the organization also contributed to the development of projects aimed at preserving the environment, in partnership with the “Mwana Pwo” association, helped in the creation of a youth community cooperative and made several donations of food to children's and elderly homes.
In the field of humanization of public health, a provincial Forum was also held with technicians and several specialists in the field, to analyze the situation of health units and how they have served the patients who come there, to improve human relations and provide a healthy environment between professionals and users.
It also organized a regional meeting on the preservation and diagnosis of prostate and breast cancer, which aimed to disseminate information to countless families on the subject.
Movangola is a non-governmental and philanthropic organization, whose corporate purpose is solidarity support actions for the most vulnerable communities. In Lunda-Sul province, the organization controls 215 young people. JW/IZ/CF/DOJ
