Ondjiva – Angolan minister of Social Action, Family and Women Promotion Ana Paula de Sacramento Neto Monday inaugurated various social projects in Osivambi, in municipality of Cuanhama, southern Cunene province.
The infrastructure feature 8-room elementary school, health facility, cafeteria and community oven, estimated at over 50. 5 million kwanzas funded by BAI Foundation.
The hospital includes an emergency bank, male ward, voluntary HIV/AIDS testing center, an initiative by Father Apolinário Hilemushinda.
Addressing an inauguration ceremony, Ana Paula de Sacramento Neto highlighted the initiative, stating that the projects are meant to respond to the needs of the community, as part of the Integrated Local Development Programme to Fight Poverty.
Located 35 kilometers from Ondjiva, the capital of Cunene province, Osivambi has an estimated population of 1,600.
