Sumbe – Angolan minister of Social Action, Family and Promotion of Women, Faustina Alves, reiterated Monday the Executive's strong commitment to improving the social conditions of Angolans.
Faustina Alves, who was speaking to the press in Sumbe, coastal Cuanza Sul province, on the sidelines of a meeting with the provincial governor of Cuanza Sul, Job Capapinha, pointed to the needy families as top priority.
To her, the actions of the local government should cover the sector, with a view to facilitating and speeding up of the resolution to the social problems of the populations.
In fulfillment of her three-day visit, the minister delivered food and means of transport to the home for elderly “28 de Agosto”, in the municipality of Sumbe.
The means include soap, rice, manioc, pasta, oil, wheelchairs, Canadians and radio sets, whose quantities have not been revealed.
Faustina Alves learnt of the state of the execution of family assistance programmes, projects related to her sector, registration of families and the integration of ex-soldiers.
The programme includes inauguration and deliver Integrated Social Support Centers, support vehicles and visit agricultural cooperatives.
