Malanje - The Apostolic Nuncio in Angola, Dom Geovani Gaspar, Tuesday reiterated the intention and need of the Catholic Church to continue working with government authorities in the moralisation of Angolan families in order to change their behaviour.
The religious leader, who was speaking during the celebration of the Chrism Mass at the Cathedral for the missionaries of the Archdiocese of Malanje, said that the church has several actions aimed at moralising society, academic and professional training of young people and medical assistance to the population, among others, with a view to contributing to building a prosperous and inclusive Angola.
Dom Geovani Gaspar acknowledged, on the other hand, the support of the Angolan government, particularly in Malanje, in the rehabilitation of social infrastructures allocated to the church, such as schools, hospital units and others.
Dom Geovani Gaspar has been on a pastoral visit since Monday, with the aim of seeing how well the Catholic Church is functioning without a bishop, among other aspects.
