Luanda - The citizens of Luanda province should continue to denounce the illegal practices that make the country's capital an inappropriate space for its children to live with dignity, said Tuesday, in Luanda, the provincial governor Manuel Homem.
While answering concerns raised by the participants of the “Knowledge Workshop”, in which he addressed the theme “Think Luanda”, that took place at the Luanda Digital Library, the governor said that they are available to meet all the complaints of the citizens, as long as they have a legal basis.
He stressed that many of the actions they develop are based on public or anonymous complaints from the citizens.
Regarding the unacceptable behaviour of some inspectors, Manuel Homem said that they have been instructed to perform their activities within ethical and deontological principles.
For individuals who act outside the procedures, the provincial governor recommended reporting them, so that they can be punished.
He exhorted the young people to keep inspired in order to conquer the things they want, adding that their fight should be done with civism and capacity for dialogue.
Manuel Homem stressed that the future of the country is in the hands of the youth, but that it is necessary to receive the testimony of the elders, acquiring knowledge, capacity, and maturity, so that there are no mistakes.
The mentor of the “Knowledge Workshop” initiative, the academic Osvaldo Mboko recognized that the objectives were achieved, stating that other similar meetings to approach the actions are underway for the development of the country will be promoted.
The French ambassador to Angola, Daniel Vosgien, was present at the meeting with the aim to be in touch with the strategy for Luanda development in order to continue to attract support for the growth of the Luanda City.
The “Knowledge Workshop”, which has a national character, began to be promoted in 2018.
