Ndalatando - The Government of Cuanza Norte is carrying out "emergency actions" to stop ravines and improve road circulation on the outskirts of the city of Ndalatando, the provincial governor, João Diogo Gaspar, said on Monday.
Speaking to the press, at the end of a visit to the Miradouro neighborhood, where there is a ravine about five meters deep and equally wide, he clarified that the Provincial Government's initiatives include emergency actions.
He explained that these actions by the Provincial Government will await deeper work by the incumbent ministry.
The ravine could cut off access to the water factory, the Santa Isabel fountain and the connection between the Miradouro and "Quem me Ama" neighborhoods.
It also poses risks on homes and can cause road accidents.
In his field activity, the governor noted the execution of the project to improve public lighting and cleaning the berns in the access area to the tourist and botanical center of Quilombo, in addition to the work to extinguish a ravine in the Sassa neighborhood.
João Diogo Gaspar also found out about the work on some Ndalatando area, as part of the water project from the Lucala river.
The project to reinforce the water supply is being financed by the World Bank and is expected to cover more than 200 thousand consumers.
Regarding this project, João Diogo Gaspar said he had received good references from the contractors who guarantee the first tests of the system for the upcoming April.
The governor, since his presentation in January, has been engaged in various fieldwork to interact with municipalities and get in touch with the reality of the various projects and actions underway in the province. LJ/IMA/ART/CF/DOJ
