Luanda - At least 5,749 former military personnel will be reintegrated by 2022, in the country, in projects of social inclusion to combat poverty, the Minister of Social Action, Family and Women Promotion, Faustina Alves said Thursday in Luanda.

According to the Cabinet minister, who was speaking at the opening of a national meeting to assess the socio-productive reintegration process of ex-soldiers, around 22,032 people were registered, of which 5,749 were eligible, due to not having benefited from reintegration support, 2,537 benefited and 13,746 were not included in the Management Information System.

She referred that Zaire province has already concluded the reintegration process of ex-military personnel.

Faustina Alves made it known that the Institute for Social Reinsertion of the Ex-military (IRSEM) benefited from the support, by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, of 604 tractors for the reinforcement of the productive inclusion of the ex-military associated in agricultural cooperatives.

She said that of the 604 tractors, 225 have already been distributed, benefiting 180 cooperatives from 16 provinces.

According to the Cabinet minister, about 45,810 ex-military personnel were registered during the data re-update conducted from July to December 2020.
