Luanda- A computer platform for management of the actions of the Integrated Programme for Local Development and Poverty Alleviation (PIDLCP), known as "SIGAPCP", was launched Monday in Luanda, with the aim of improving the mechanisms of accountability and results of the 164 municipalities of the country.
The PIDLCP is an initiative of the President of the Republic and aims at significantly reducing poverty indexes in Angola.
Its implementation is part of a strategy of administrative and financial decentralization and deconcentration, providing each municipality with 28 million kwanzas a month, of which three million are earmarked for school meals.
The program started to be implemented in June 2021 and is ready to operate in all 164 municipalities in the country.
The SIGAPCP (Computer System for Management of Poverty Alleviation Program Actions) also aims to improve program coordination by sharing program information and data at central, provincial and municipal level, as well as improving action with the Ministry of Finance to control financial programming.
The platform will contribute to the improvement of the tasks of monitoring and periodic evaluation of the program and the mechanisms for the dissemination of actions and results, through the internet interface, as well as the decentralization process through interaction and technical support to local administration bodies.
