Ndalatando – The provincial governor of Cuanza Norte, João Digo Gaspar, on Monday in Ndalatando, urged the new director of the Provincial Office for Economic and Integrated Development, to reinforce the publicity of local economic with the aim to attract more private investments for the region.
The governor was speaking at the inauguration ceremony of newly appointed government officials.
At the time, he highlighted that the mentioned Office should adopt strategies to ensure the best use and exploitation of economic potentialities of the province, especially in areas related to agriculture, exploration of natural and mineral resources.
He recommended the new director of agriculture, Humberto Mesquita, to focus on raising local production levels with the aim of making the region self-sufficient and becoming a reference in the fight against hunger and poverty.
Among them, it included Suzana Matondo who was appointed in the post of director of the Integrated Office and Economic Development, Humberto Mesquita in the post of provincial governor for Agriculture and Manuel Alfredo Domingos in the post of Secretary-General of the provincial governor.
These include Suzana Matondo who was appointed to the position of director of the Integrated Cabinet and Economic Development, Humberto Mesquita to the position of provincial governor of Agriculture and Manuel Alfredo Domingos to the position of general secretary to the provincial governor, Nuno Agnelo Gonçalves in the position of provincial director of Social Communication, Transport and Urban Mobility, Victorino Abel, Anabela Dias in the position director of Social Action, Family and Gender Equality and Cristóvão João António in the position of provincial director of Environment and Waste Management.
There are also included Ariel Agostinho Soares, as head of the Legal Advice and Litigation departments of the Legal Office of the provincial Government, António Manuel as head of the Legal Advice and Litigation departments of the Education and Teaching of the provincial Government, and Filipe Cassange and Inspection and Supervision of the Provincial Education Office.
From those now sworn in, the governor asked for commitment and dedication in carrying out the mission entrusted to them.
Humberto Mesquita, who returns to the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture where he previously performed the same functions, indicated that he will give priority to supporting family farming, strengthening the organization of cooperatives and greater interaction with private companies in the sector.
The new director of the Integrated Office and Economic Development, Suzana Matondo, said that she will pay special attention to the departments of employment promotion, business development, commerce, industry and mineral resources. LJ/DS/YD/MRA/DOJ
