Luanda – The Angolan government updated the categories of 30,423 public servants in the general regime, the minister of Public Administration, Labour and Social Security (MAPTSS), Teresa Rodrigues Dias, disclosed on Monday, in Luanda.
Within the scope of the Memorandum of Understanding with the Federation of Public Administration, Health and Services Unions (FSAPSS), the government committed to updating the careers of 41,441 employees.
Teresa Dias spoke at the ceremony to present an overview of the activities carried out in 2024 by the ministry, as well as the prospects for next year.
She explained that the updates made include 18,096 promotions and 12,352 with adjusted positions.
According to her, the survey carried out regarding the special category update regime, about 59,365 workers were accounted for, with the financial impact being assessed by the Ministry of Finance.
Within the scope of the Public Administration Reform Program (PREA), Teresa Dias highlighted the implementation of the regulation of the General Career Regime, with the proposal to suspend some careers at the lowest level of public service.
She also highlighted the conclusion of the proposed regime that establishes the conditions for holding top positions, which is currently under public consultation.
Another highlight is the conclusions of the proposals for a teleworking regime in the public service, performance evaluation and the approval of the procedure for the recruitment and selection of candidates in the public administration.
