Luanda – Angola’s capital, Luanda, remains in the lead of the community transmission of the Sars-Cov-2 virus, with a total of 12,246 infections, 4,753 active patients, 7,196 recoveries and 297 deaths, since the pandemic erupted in the country in March this year.

 

The information was released Sunday in Luanda by the secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, during the daily Covid-19 update briefing.

Out of the country’s total 16,644 positive cases of Covid-19, northern Bengo province responds for 26, of which 14 are active, 10 recoveries and two deaths.

Central Benguela has recorded 687 infections, 249 active patients, 418 recoveries and 20 deaths, while central Bié has 48 positive cases, 14 active patients, 34 recoveries and no death.

Northern Cabinda province has so far reported 609 cases, 521 active patients, 83 recoveries and five deaths, whereas southeastern Cuando Cubango has registered 104, two actives, 99 recoveries and three deaths.

The province of Cuanza Norte (north) has 393 infections, 362 active patients, 30 recoveries and a death, and central Cuanza Sul has 327 positive cases, 42 active sick, 282 recoveries and three deaths.

Southern Cunene has 190 cases, 65 active patients, 123 recoveries and two deaths, central Huambo has 257 cases, 60 active sick persons, 191 recoveries and six dead.

Huíla (south) has reported 361 infections, 89 active patients, 263 recoveries and nine deaths as Lunda Norte counts 115 positive cases, 72 active patients, 40 recoveries and three deaths.

Northeastern Lunda Sul province has reported 116 positive cases, 74 actives, 41 recoveries and a death, at a time northern Malanje mentions 217 cases, 95 actives, 118 recovered persons and four dead.

Moxico (east) responds for 126 cases, three active sick patients, 120 recoveries and three deaths, while Namibe (southwest) has 210 cases, 47 actives, 158 recoveries and five deaths.

Northern Uíge province has counted 146 cases, 30 active patients, 106 recoveries and 10 deaths, while Zaire province (north) has 463 cases, 173 active patients, 280 recoveries and 13 deaths.
