Luanda - Ministry of Health said that the Paz Flor Tourist Complex-based centre, in Luanda, has the capacity to vaccinate up to 6,000 people per day.
This was confirmed by minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta, while speaking to the press on the sidelines of the second day of Covid-19 vaccination.
The minister spoke of the availability of the teams to attend the public, in particular the health professionals throughout of the week.
She said that 15,000 health professionals were supposed to receive the first dose of the vaccine, the second of which should be administered within 8 weeks.
As for Tuesday, according to the minister, the programme foresees to cover people aged over 60 years old, including the patients listed in hemodialysis centers.
Sílvia Lutucuta stressed that there are advanced vaccination teams in the Economic Zone, KM27 and Hemodialysis Centers to help decentralize the vaccination process.
She stressed the safety of the vaccine, appealing, for this reason, to the Angolans to join the immunisation campaign.
Available data indicate the immunisation of 900 health professionals on the first day, Saturday, in a session that took place in the multi-purpose pavilion of Kilamba.
