Luanda - The health authorities on Monday announced the recovery of 196 patients, 101 new cases and four deaths.
According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, who was speaking at the updating session, 194 of them live in Luanda and 2 in Benguela.
In relation to new cases, Franco Mufinda said that 85 were diagnosed in Luanda, 4 in Cabinda, 3 in Huambo, 2 in Benguela, 2 in Cuanza Sul, 2 in Namibe, 1 in Huila, 1 in Malanje and 1 in Zaire.
Amongst the new patients, whose ages range from 1 to 72, are 60 men and 41 women.
The deaths involve Angolan citizens resident in Luanda.
The general picture shows 25,710 positive cases, with 583 deaths, 23,288 recovered, 1,839 active. Of the active cases, 10 are critical, 14 serious, 80 moderate, 54 light and 1,681 asymptomatic.
Health authorities monitor 188 patients in treatment centres, while 1,387 contacts are under surveillance.
In the last 24 hours, 1,601 samples were processed, with a daily positivity rate of 6.3 per cent.
