Luanda – At least 243 patients recovered, 226 new cases and 4 deaths is the balance recorded in the last 24 hours, by the Angolan health authorities.
According to the minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta, among the recovered, 224 patients reside in Luanda, 6 in Cunene, 6 in Huíla, 3 in Bengo, 2 in Lunda Sul, 1 in Cuanza Sul and 1 in Cuanza Norte.
Among the new cases, she said, 210 were diagnosed in Luanda, 7 in Huambo, 4 in Huíla, 1 in Bengo, 1 in Benguela and 1 in Cuanza Sul.
Of the new patients, whose ages range from 1 month to 87 years, 106 are male and 120 are female.
However, Luanda recorded two deaths while Huíla and Benguela with one death each.
In the last 24 hours, 2,579 blood samples were processed, with a daily positivity rate of 8.7 percent.
The overall picture shows 26,168 positive cases, with 591 deaths, 23,584 recovered, 1,903 active.
