Luanda - The vice president of the ruling MPLA party Luísa Damião and the King Ngola Kiluanji Kia-Samba “Buba Nvula Dala Mana” Wednesday discussed issues about the kingdom and social situations in the north-east Malanje province.
In a statement to the press, after the audience, King Ngola Kiluanji Kia-Samba said that he had brought concerns related to Malanje province to the headquarters of the ruling party.
The meeting focused on the poor state of the access roads that connect the provincial and municipal headquarters as well as health, education and the sale of produce.
The King said he also raised the concerns related to the majority of young people in Malanje, due to the fact that some who have completed high school and others higher education, but are facing great difficulty in obtaining a job.
According to the sovereign, another concern presented is related to the fact that the province does not have any satellite city, when there are municipalities in the country with satellite cities.
Still in the economic field, he noted that Malanje, despite having diamonds, has difficulties in extracting them due to lack of roads and appropriate machinery.
He regretted the state of the tombs of the sovereign Ngola Kiluanji and Queen Njinga Mbandi, located in the municipality of Marimba, as well as the poor relationship with the traditional authorities.
In another audience, Luísa Damião received the Reverend Luís Nguimbi, who is currently an adviser to the President of the Republic, João Lourenço.
To the journalists, the Reverend said that it was a courtesy visit, after the election of the 24th of August.
According to him, the approach focused on collaboration in specific areas of the social domain, since more work needs to be done in this aspect.
