Lubango - The sustainable development of Angola is based on a triangle of values built by democracy, good governance and knowledge, stressed Friday in Lubango City, southern Huila Province, the opposition UNITA party´s parliamentary whip, Liberty Tchiyaka.

The politician - who was speaking at a lecture on “The preceding factors for good governance, the good governor profile and the choices of 24 August” - said that a good government should focus on a sustainable future.

Liberty Tchiyaka informed that such a situation implies thinking about creating prosperity, investing in growth, on the socio-economic development of the country.

“One cannot govern a country from the perspective of power management, we want to propose a vision based on general knowledge, in practice, from various geographies that have already given results in other realities”, he said.

He stressed that a good governor has a strategic vision and knows how to build a trajectory from the status the country is today to where it has to be taken, to have human sensitivity and patriotic will, to listen to the people, to listen and respect different opinions.

“We will talk to Angolans of all political and ideological convictions and from all religions about our vision of a democratic, developed and prosperous Angola, free from fear, poverty and corruption”, said the politician.

The president of UNITA, Adalberto Costa Júnior, will open the party's political campaign in the city of Lubango on Sunday, 24, at a rally.
