Luanda - The Supreme Court scheduled the reading of the sentence of the deputy attorney general of the Republic, Alceu Olegário António, for September 5th, placed in the province of Cuanza-Norte, accused of frustrated murder and bodily harm.

At Thursday's hearing, 31 questions were read, to which the court will give a negative or positive answer as to whether or not it has verified the facts with which the magistrate is accused.

Alceu Olegário Alexandre António, 35 years old, is accused of having shot a person on public roads in January 2019, after being involved in an altercation with a motorcycle taxi driver.

The basis of the criminal case is a disagreement between the magistrate and motorcyclists, following the wife's involvement in a road accident.

The accusation presented by the public prosecutor, Lucas dos Santos, points out that the defendant was involved in conflicts with people in the municipality of Cazengo and, later, took a pistol, firing two shots, one of which hit a man, causing him injuries in the chest.

In an attempt to leave the scene, he crashed a motorbike with his vehicle, causing serious injuries to a woman.

Sources assure that, the defendant is remorseful for hurting the integrity not only of the citizen, but also of the class.

According to the defendant's defense lawyer, Wilson Fernandes, in statements to the press, it was proven that the shot was not intended to hit the offended party, as he was far from the mess.

The trial takes place at the Supreme Court and has judge counselor Anabela Valente as its rapporteur.
