Luanda - The Court of Auditors (TC) on Tuesday, in Luanda, concluded that any interpretation that suggests the interference of this institution in the legal proceedings against former chief auditor Exalgina Gamboa is false.
The former Chairwoman of the Court of Audits, Exalgina Gamboa, was charged in February 2023, together with her son Hailé da Cruz, on suspicion of crimes of extortion, corruption and embezzlement.
This follows news circulating that suggest the former Audit Court Chief will no longer be submitted to trial, so the TC informs that the institution never had the authority to decide on the closure of such legal processes.
It explains that the criminal proceedings instituted against Exalgina Gambôa by the Attorney General's Office continue to proceed normally, without any interference from the Audit Court.
