Huambo – Angolan president João Lourenço inaugurated on Friday, an Integrated Technological Training Centre (CINFOTEC) in central Huambo province, the third in the country, with capacity for 1,464 trainees.
With more than 30 laboratories and six workshops, the centre is a donation from the People's Republic of China in an investment of 30 million US dollars, whose aim is to provide qualitative technical and vocational training for young people.
It will accommodate 732 trainees during each training period and operate under the umbrella of the National Institute for Employment and Vocational Training (INEFOP).
The centre will provide courses in metrology, hygiene and safety at work, first aid, quality control, information and communication technology, computer networks and maintenance, structured cabling, IT for users, multimedia photography and editing, programming logic, web development, communication systems integration, among others.
It will train young people with technical skills in blacksmithing, welding, mechanics, low-voltage electricity, IT, photography, video editing, and multimedia communication, among others to provide them with tools to join the labor market.
