Luanda - Ombudsman Office and the General Inspection of State Administration (IGAE) will signed partnership agreement next September.
The deal will provide for cooperation and promotion of their work in favour of citizens' rights and the functioning of administrative bodies, according to the law.
Ombudsperson Florbela Araújo announced this at the end of a meeting with the head of the IGAE Ângelo da Veiga Tavares, during which they examined the strengthening of cooperation in this aspect.
The agreement will focus, among other things, on the defence of citizens' rights, freedoms and guarantees as well as support for acts related to corruption and other illegalities practiced by public officials.
Other co-operation mechanisms include the exchange of information and the analysis of complaints and claims filed by citizens.
She urged the IGAE to focus more on guiding civil servants, public managers and holders of management positions on daily basis.
In turn, the Inspector-General for State Administration Ângelo Tavares said the meeting laid mechanisms that will allow a quicker interaction that, ultimately, citizens' rights and interests will be met.
He referred to the need to comply with the rules by the public administration and defence of citizens' rights as the factors that lead the institutions to cooperate in order to find the best way to fulfill their role. VC/SC/DAN/NIC
