In the note sent to ANGOP by the Secretary for Institutional Communication and Press Affairs of the President of the Republic, the Head of State expresses Angola's will to increasingly make efforts to strengthen relations with the Kingdom from Belgium.
Political-diplomatic relations between Angola and the Kingdom of Belgium began in 1979. Since then, agreements, memoranda and business contracts were signed.
The documents include the Economic, Scientific and Cultural Cooperation signed on 26 April 1983.
The diplomas defined the regulatory legal framework for bilateral cooperation and instituted the Joint Commission, and the General Cooperation Agreement of 26 July from 1983.
