Luanda – Angolan President, João Lourenço, on Wednesday travelled to the city of Muscat, capital of Oman, for a state visit to the Sultanate in the Middle East region.
According to the president's Press Office secretary, Luís Fernando, the visit, which begins on Thursday, will last two days.
For the first day, the program includes official reception at the Royal Palace, where the anthems of both countries will be sung, followed by 21 cannon salutes and the presentation of the respective delegations.
Subsequently, delegations from both countries will begin official talks and, simultaneously, President João Lourenço and Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said will have a moment for a detailed assessment of bilateral relations.
However, on the second and last day of the visit (Friday) the agenda will be marked by the visit of the Angolan Head of State to the National Museum of Oman, which will be his last activity in the Sultanate.
