Lubango – The PRA-JA Servir Angola party's spokesperson, Florenço Kandjamba, affirmed Friday in the city of Lubango, southern Huila Province, that its political force will run for the 2027 General Elections, after its legalization last Wednesday by the Constitutional Court (TC).

The party led by MP Abel Chivukuvuku, is part of the United Patriotic Front (FPU), a platform created in the 2022 general elections, which accompanies UNITA in its community parliamentary days that are being held in Huíla.

When reacting to the press, the approval of the Court, after six years of waiting for the legalization of political force, under the terms of paragraph 1 of article 15, of the Law on Political Parties (PP), he considered the decision “a joy”.

He highlighted that this legalization strengthens the party, because in Angola to do politics in light of the Constitution and the Law, formalization is necessary, so that you can begin to benefit from the right to run for General Elections.

He recognized that the legalization of PRA-JA is an indicator of the “good functioning” of institutions, within the framework of the Democratic State and the Rule of Law and that from now on, all that remains is to work to enhance politics in Angola and contribute to a better country for all.

The Constitutional Court's decision certifies that PRA-JA meets all the requirements established in the Political Parties Law and that the name, acronym, symbol and flag are not to be confused with other names registered with the Constitutional Court.

In accordance with paragraph 1 of article 14 of the same law, the legal minimum number of 7,500 signatures of requesting citizens was determined to be valid, with 150 of these signatures corresponding to each of the country's 18 provinces.
