Luanda - The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, received, on Monday, in Luanda, detailed explanations about the implementation of the 'Kaminho Project', valued at six billion US dollars.
Speaking to the press at the end of the hearing, the chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA) of TotalEnergies, Patrick Pouyanné, said that he had informed the Angolan Head of State of the 'Kaminho Project', located in the Kwanza Basin, 100 kilometers from the coast, which, from 2028, is expected to produce 70,000 barrels of oil per day, when it's fully operational.
'We are very pleased. The basin has an estimated reserve of 350 million barrels and we will extract 70,000 barrels per day, which should increase national production.'
To this end, he revealed, the platform and the entire submarine transport network are under construction in the People's Republic of China, and the remaining material will be produced locally, at Petromar's shipyards.
The 'Kaminho Project', located in the deep waters of the Kwanza Basin, will have two fields called 'Cameia' and 'Golfinho'.
TotalEnergies' seventh Production, Storage and Offloading Unit (FPSO) in Angola will also be in operation, within the framework of which the most modern decarbonization techniques will be applied to reduce environmental impact. MR/SC/DOJ
