Luanda - Foreign Minister Téte António travelled Monday to Bujumbura, Republic of Burundi, where he will deliver a message from the Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, to his Burundian counterpart, Evariste Ndayishimiy, reads a note from Mirex.
According to the document to which Angop had access today, as special envoy of the President of the Republic, the head of Angolan diplomacy will hold working meetings with the Burundian authorities, including his counterpart Albert Shigiro.
Today, Téte António will formally introduce the new executive secretary of
International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR), the Angolan Ambassador João Samuel Caholo and visit the premises of this regional body, whose rotating presidency is being held by Angola, where he will meet with officials of the secretariat.
On Tuesday, the Angolan minister will be received in audience by Burundi's President, Evariste Ndayishimiy, during which he will deliver the message from the Angolan statesman.
The Angolan delegation includes, among other individuals, the secretary of state for the Public Health, Franco Mufinda, the Director for Africa, Middle East and Regional Organisations, Ambassador Miguel Bembe and the Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Angola to the United Republic of Tanzania, Sandro de Oliveira.
