Luanda - The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, Thursday expressed appreciation for the progress achieved by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in five decades of independence, which is celebrated today.
In a congratulatory message, the Angolan Head of State said that in a short space of time the UAE had become a global reference of modernity and successful achievements in the economic, social, technical and technological fields.
João Lourenço took the opportunity to express satisfaction at the "high level" that cooperation relations between the two countries have reached.
The President of the Republic hopes that bilateral cooperation will be strengthened "by virtue of the common interest expressed in the many contacts" that the two governments have had on a regular basis.
In the message, to His Highness Khalifa Bin Zayd Al Nahyan, President João Lourenço congratulates, on behalf of the Angolan Government and in his own, the People and the Government of the United Arab Emirates on the celebration of the fiftieth (50th) anniversary of Independence Day.
Finally, the Angolan statesman wishes the People of the United Arab Emirates good health, personal well-being and prosperity.
