Caxito – The First Provincial Secretary of the ruling MPLA in the northern Bengo Province, Maria Antónia Nelumba, stated Saturday in Caxito town that the party’s grassroots structures, known as Action Committees (CAPs), must recruit more members and get engaged in quantitative and qualitative growth actions.
Speaking at the opening of the provincial training seminar for party leaders and cadres, as part of the process of holding assemblies to review and renew mandates at CAP's, she said that true militancy is exercised under the control of party structures and with serious engagement at grassroots level.
The party leader considered as "true activists" of the party those who are invoved in true action that adds value and dynamism to the organisation.
“Let's all go to the grassroots to raise our party's flag high together,” she stressed.
According to the politician, it is necessary to identify the most capable activists and those who gather consensus among the others in order to be elected.
“We cannot fall into the traps of friendliness, cronyism or nepotism, as they are very dangerous cancers that threaten good political coexistence and the successful completion of all the political work that we have been planning and carrying out”, she explained.
Carrying out this process throughout the province aims to create greater dynamism in the work, and also guarantee a greater political presence of the party in the communities, she said.
