Lisbon - Strengthening cooperation with Portuguese political parties in the field of training, exchanging experience and reviewing friendship ties are among the MPLA's priorities, said this Thursday, in Lisbon, the party’s politburo secretary for Organization and Integration in Society, Gonçalves Muandumba.

The politician made this statement, on the sidelines of a meeting with the leadership of the Portuguese Communist Party (PCP), as part of a working visit by an MPLA delegation.

According to the official, relations between the MPLA and the PCP are long-standing, which is why the Angolan delegation's stay is being taken advantage of to exchange information, update experiences and exchange with the Portuguese political formation.

He valued the fact that, despite Portugal being in an electoral campaign, the PCP leadership was still available to receive the Angolan delegation, and the moment was used to exchange ideas on the most varied subjects.

On the other hand, Gonçalves Muandumba said that during his stay he will hold a meeting with the Angolan community residing in Portugal, in order to discuss their biggest complaints.

He added that one of the MPLA's priorities is to bring the Angolan community closer to state institutions to make it easier for citizens to have better services or easier acquisition of certain documents.

In turn, the member of the secretariat of the Central Committee of the PCP and head of the international section, Pedro Carreiro, highlighted the excellent relations of friendship and cooperation with the MPLA in different areas.

The Angolan politicians were also received by Francisco André, National Secretary of the Socialist Party for international affairs.
