Cunene- The MPLA's first secretary in Cunene, Gerdina Didalelwa, appealed Saturday in Ondjiva town, to the population to massively adhere to the unofficial voter registration process, with a view to holding the upcoming general elections.
Gerdina Didalelwa, who was speaking at an extraordinary meeting of the MPLA provincial committee, said it was important for the people to participate in the voter registration process, which began on 23 October.
On the other hand, he said that the meeting served to reflect on preparatory actions for the MPLA's 8th ordinary congress, to be held in Luanda in December of this year.
He pointed out that the way the party is organised and structured provides for periodic meetings concerning renewal, taking into account the dynamics of social, cultural, economic and political phenomena.
In order to respond to this organisation, she recalled, organic processes were carried out from the grassroots, considering that MPLA positions itself as a party, not only of cadres, but also of the masses.
