Ababa - Angola’s minister of Foreign Affairs Téte António addressed Sunday in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the agenda of the country's presidency at the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS).
This was during a meeting with the president of the organisation's Council of Ministers Alan Ganoo, held on the sidelines of the 36th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the African Union.
The two interlocutors analysed the strategic objectives for Angola’s next three-year term.
Téte António and Alan Ganoo also addressed issues related to the Partnership Agreement process between the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS) and the European Union (EU).
Angola wants to implement a strategy based on a new partnership with the EU during its presidency at OACPS in the 2023-2025 period.
Angola's priorities include strengthening the institutional capacity of the bodies created by the Revised Georgestown Agreement.
The country also pledges to developing initiatives in areas such as climate change, food security, resource mobilisation through direct private investment, cooperation on the oceans, technical capacity building and industrialisation, among others. DC/MV
