Luanda - Angola Foreign Affairs Minister Téte António takes part Tuesday in the tenth session of the Angola and Mozambique Joint Cooperation Commission taking place in Maputo, Mozambique, ANGOP has learnt.
Taking place under the motto “Mozambique and Angola together for economic and social progress", the meeting assesses the projects underway between the two countries, reviews agreements and assesses the report of the meeting of senior officials held on Sunday in Maputo.
It is also reviewing bilateral issues in the areas of politics and diplomacy, defense, interior, territorial administration, economy, finance, transport, communications, industry, trade, energy, mineral resources, oil, public works, agriculture, fisheries, the sea and the environment
The meeting represents the two countries' strong commitment to reinforce a historic relationship that dates back to the early days of the national liberation struggle for independence.
Angola and Mozambique have said they intend to build a solid partnership that brings common interests closer together and allows for fruitful social and business exchanges, for the benefit of both and based on comparative and complementary advantages.
The two countries have signed more than 30 legal cooperation instruments, based on the General Agreement on Economic, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation.
The agreements include visa waiver for diplomatic and service passports, visa facilitation for ordinary passports, as well as others in the field of air transport.
