Luanda - The Angolan ambassador José Andrade de Lemos presented Thursday (23), at the Aitarak Laran Presidential Palace his Credentials to the President of the Democratic Republic of East Timor, José Ramos Horta.
According to a note to which ANGOP had access, on the occasion the Timorese President granted an audience to the diplomat where he reaffirmed the desire of the Angolan statesman, João Lourenço, to strengthen the cordial relations between the two countries.
The ambassador also mentioned the political, economic and legislative reforms carried out by the Angolan Executive, a factor that has also generated greater credibility for national public institutions.
Likewise, he highlighted that these (reforms) have also provided a good business environment, favorable to all, and that they contribute to the country increasingly establishing itself in the world political chessboard as an international actor committed to peace. social well-being and prosperity of people.
Still in the bilateral domain, cooperation between the two states is supported, essentially, by five
(5) legal instruments, which the diplomat highlighted the need to boost.
In response, President José Ramos Horta welcomed the Angolan ambassador, expressing his support for this mission.
The hearing lasted around 30 minutes, with the Angolan ambassador delivering a handmade item and coffee produced in Angola to the statesman, a gesture that was reciprocated by President José Ramos-Horta with the delivery of coffee produced in this country.
