Luanda - Eight days ahead of the general elections (August 24), the seven political parties and one coalition continued to hold their mobilisation activities in several localities of the country.
PHA
PHA president Florbela Malaquias Wednesday in Cabinda appealed to the youth to vote for her party saying that her party’s programme backs the use of the local produced wealth for development of Cabinda itself.
CASA-CE
CASA-CE leader Manuel Fernandes, who arrived on Wednesday morning in Cabinda province, held a march and a mass rally. The coalition also took advantage of presenting his governance programme.
APN
APN promised Wednesday in Menongue, Cuando Cubango province, to develop several actions that will contribute to a better employment of the youth.
The party’s first secretary in the province, Antónia Palaça, announced so during a mass rally, with emphasis on the presentation of the electoral manifesto and the governance programme.
UNITA
UNITA announced plans to capitalise the private sector in order to boost the economy and promote new direct jobs, through business activity, if wins the upcoming elections.
The measure is intended to address the issue related to unemployment among youth,
said to the representative of the party's president, Anselmo Condumula.
FNLA
FNLA said on Wednesday in Nóqui, northern Zaire province, that it wants to develop an intense campaign of "hunting" for votes in the communes of Lufico and Mpala.
The party leader, Nimi Simbi, who was speaking during a mass event in the province of Huambo, took avantage of presenting the general guidelines of the electoral programme.
MPLA
MPLA held its mobilisation of voters in the municipality of Tômbwa, south-west Namibe province, resorting to the national languages, in a strategy
believed to reach as many people as possible to vote for MPLA.
MPLA pledged commitment to carry on the socio-economic projects and development of the policies in the country.
