Luanda - The Egyptian authorities have expressed interest in strengthening cooperation and partnership with Angola, in the areas of trade, investment, and tourism and energy collaboration, with a view to promote the well-being and development of both countries and the world in general.
Speaking at the celebrations of the 49th anniversary of Angola's independence marked on November 11 at the Angolan Embassy in that country, Egypt’s Minister of Oil and Gas, Karim Badawi, said, on behalf of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, that this partnership should involve other sectors to grow the economy of Angola and Egypt, and the African continent for global benefit.
The official praised the strength of bilateral relations and the contacts that have been made at the highest level, a collaboration that the Egyptian government praises in relations with the Republic of Angola and the respective peoples.
Karim Badawi congratulated and encouraged the Angolan ambassador to Egypt, Nelson Manuel Cosme, for his contributions over the last four years in strengthening bilateral cooperation, promoting a healthy relationship between the two nations and brotherly peoples.
He also expressed the Egyptian government's interest to continue to promote and strengthen good relations, as well as increasing collaboration in all the different sectors, for the common benefit and prosperity, promoting peace for the economic growth of Angola, Egypt, and the people of the entire African continent.
In his speech, he addressed the Egyptian authorities' initiatives to strengthen and re-launch the partnership with other African countries, with the aim of strengthening the economic prosperity of their peoples and other regional and global partners. SC/AMP
