Luanda – Angola’s minister of Foreign Affairs Téte António has been since Friday in Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo, to attend the official launch of the Electoral Observation Mission of International Conference on Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) in that country.
Téte António is leading a delegation made up of ambassador Manuel Domingos Augusto, former minister of Foreign Affairs of Angola.
Manuel Augusto will head the Electoral Observation Mission of the International Conference on Great Lakes Region .
The director of the Africa, Middle East and Regional Organisations Directorate, Ambassador Miguel César Domingos Bembe, is integrating the Angolan delegation.
Other senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are also joining the delegation.
The presence of Angola follows the invitation the Government of the Republic of Congo addressed to ICGLR to send an Observation Mission to that country to monitor the presidential elections of 21 March this year.
Ambassador Manuel Augusto is presented Saturday to ICGLR observers, during a launch ceremony of that mission, chaired by Minister Téte António.
The Executive secretary of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region, Angolan ambassador João Samuel Caholo, will attend the ceremony.
Angola heads the Electoral Observation Mission for the elections in the Republic of Congo in his capacity as acting president of ICGLR.
