Addis Ababa - The African Union Executive Council approved Wednesday the AU budget for 2021, estimated at USD 636.075 million
This was during a meeting held in virtual format, in which Angola was represented by the minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António.
The participants decided to use the evaluation scale for the regular budget for the contributions of Member States to the AU Fund for Peace.
In the Sub-Committees of the Executive Council, Angola is the second vice-president of the Bureau of the Ministerial Committee on the Scale of Contributions and Evaluation, under the chairmanship of Uganda.
Angola is the third vice-president of the Bureau of the Ministerial Committee on candidacies, chaired by Tunisia.
As part of the applications for the International System, Africa is running for the post of Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), through Nigeria.
