Luanda - Angolan Executive approved Wednesday the basic wage adjustments to the members of the sector of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA).
The session of the Cabinet Council, chaired by the head of State João Lourenço, also gave green light to the statute of career of National Police (PN) and the special careers of the executive services of the Interior Ministry.
The overall increase stands at 6 percent. But in view of the principle of positive difference in lower classes and careers, the government also made some exceptional increases, with arrears starting from June to date, but with effect from October this year.
The First Ordinary Meeting also reviewed the Memorandum evaluating the importance and opportunity of the basic salary adjustments to the sectors of Defence, Security and Internal Order Bodies.
As for this increase, the meeting also looked into respective budgetary impact, pointing to solutions to ensure that the adjustments match
the objective of the Fiscal Policy, based on medium and long term sustainability of Public Finances.
The Cabinet also reviewed the Executive Macroeconomic Programme (PME 2022), having assessed the performance of floating macroeconomic of the II quarter of the current year.
In this first revision of the PME 2022, the Executive adopted an average price of USD 100 per barrel of crude oil, a final inflation rate of 18% and the maintenance of the forecast growth rate of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) around 2.7%.
Credit Support Project
The Government was also briefed on the operation stage of the funding line for the Credit Support Project (PAC), until 31 August of the current year, aimed to finance at least 700 companies and 300 cooperatives.
A total of 1,531 projects, of which 1,329 companies, representing a performance of 176.71%, and 202 cooperatives, representing 68%, were approved under Credit Support Project (PAC).
