He added that the rejuvenation and staff training are already a fact in the military community, with the increase in the number of Army military education establishments and the training of personnel outside the country.
The military commanderl said that these challenges aim to promote deep engagement in the tasks of operational, combative and patriotic educational preparation of the troops, to be ready in the face of any attempt to subvert the Constitutional order in force in the country, highlighting that the creation of the Army, in 1991, opened the doors to a new era, for thousands of Angolans to fight.
He pointed out that the festivities on the day of the creation of the Army take place at a time when there is an exponential increase in the interest of foreign investment in the national economy, highlighting the recent historic visit of the North American President, Joe Biden, with great interest in the Lobito Corridor, a fact that makes Angolans and, above all, Angolan business people proud, to boost the country's economy.
Regarding the closure of the course for Military Graduates in the Class of Subaltern Officers, he said that the training of personnel and their qualifications, in general, represents a secular activity that is progressing with the evolution of societies and in the Armed Forces, in particular, as a dynamic activity to make military technology increasingly advanced.
He recalled that the Army, in addition to its primary mission, based on the defence of territorial integrity, also has its attention focused on the permanent training of the staff, complying with superior guidelines, within the framework of the restructuring and resizing program underway, with the aim of keeping the FAA increasingly stronger.
The commander highlighted that, in 2025, Angola celebrates 50 years since achieving National Independence with its eyes set on the future, as it represents the first greatest achievement of the Angolan people, whose achievements are reflected in the consolidation of peace and democracy, as well as the country's insertion in the geopolitical domain.
He emphasized that Army personnel must continue to manage peace without interference in personal and institutional matters, invest in academic training, so that they can master their responsibilities, respecting differences and limits, in order to make society feel the pride of having cohesive security.
The act witnessed by members of the governments of the provinces of Benguela, Bié, Cuanza-Sul and Huambo, as well as security and internal order bodies, traditional and family authorities, was marked, among others, by the reading of congratulatory messages from delegations of the Ministry of Interior and the State Information and Security Service (SINSE) in addition to the presentation of the RMC Command wall information poster and a celebratory lunch.
The Angolan Armed Forces and the Army, in particular, resulted from the agglomeration of military staff from the People's Armed Forces of Liberation of Angola (FAPLA) and the then armed wing of the National Union for the Total Independence of Angola (UNITA-FALA), within the scope of the Peace Agreements, signed in Bicesse, Portugal, on May 31, 1991.
