Dundo - As part of the special campaign 'Dipanda's ID', opened on Saturday in the country, the authorities in the province of Lunda-Norte, plan to issue more than 3,000 Identity Cards.

Promoted by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, the campaign is part of the celebrations alluding to the 49th anniversary of National Independence, to be marked on November 11th.

Speaking at the opening of the campaign, the provincial delegate for Justice and Human Rights in Lunda-Norte, Inocência Costa, made it known that to achieve the recommended goals, 13 service stations are available in the ten municipalities.

She said that the posts will be open from Monday to Friday for the general public and on Saturdays, only for people from 0 to 17 years old.

She said that for the issuance of the ID, he continued, those covered must be accompanied by their birth certificates or a complete narrative certificate of birth registration and copies of parents' identity cards.

In turn, the deputy governor for the Social, Political and Economic sector of Lunda-Norte, Frederico Barroso, called for responsibility and rigor on the part of the technicians involved in the campaign, in order to avoid issuing the ID to foreign citizens, especially from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

“On occasions like these, many illegal foreigners try to take advantage and falcise certificates or full copies, in order to get the Identity Card, so we appeal to vigilance, rigor and patriotism”, he warned.

He called on the parents and guardians to join the campaign, taking their children to the posts created. HD/DOJ
