Luanda - The FNLA intends to adopt a social policy based on the fight against unemployment, juvenile delinquency and social scourges, if it wins the elections on 24 August.
The pledges was made during its airtime slot on National Radio (RNA), where Laurindo Gil Chicolomuenho, a party activist, said announced measures of social justice to support the needy, the maimed, the disabled and the elderly.
The FNLA stated that social policy, human social well-being, improvement in all aspects should be the top priority of interest and concern of a government.
He said that the party will develop a social policy on strong foundations so that the fight against poverty becomes a fact.
FNLA also spoke of work on guaranteeing basic sanitation, a minimum level of schooling and primary assistance in the health system.
The FNLA aims to pay special attention to children, youth and the promotion of women, as well as to promote the construction of housing throughout the country, as well as to develop dynamic legislation.
The priorities include granting, among others, rights to workers, equality and opportunity in employment, respective vacations, medical rest and disciplinary leave, free association and trade union organisation, education, legal assistance, child protection, social security, marital and environmental protection.
The party intends to institute an unemployment benefit, defend orphans, displaced persons, retirees and former combatants, as well as reform the education system, according to international parameters.
