Luanda - Twenty-four hours after the election, Angolans resumed their normal tasks this Thursday, with the people in main country’s cities reporting to get on with their lives.

In Luanda, the country's capital, for example, road traffic and pedestrians along the main traffic routes are beginning to show signs of a return to normality, with a rush to find the means of subsistence.

Along the main avenues and neighbourhoods, the normal circulation of cars and people is visible.

A similar scenario is recorded in Sumbe, the capital of Cuanza Sul, where the inhabitants also resumed their daily routine, after the general elections held on Wednesday (24).

In a round conducted by ANGOP, in some sections of Sumbe and in the main markets of the city, the circulation of vehicles, motorcycle taxi drivers and passers-by, as well as market vendors and street vendors, is notorious.

In the capital of central Bié province, Cuito, the routine is the same, they just wait for the results of the polls.

Huambo woke up to a frenetic and noisy movement of people and vehicles, with civil servants and shopkeepers standing out at the taxi ranks.

In the city of Uíge, in the clusters, conversations revolve around Wednesday, the 24th, and the possible final results.

In northern Cuanza Norte province, people are getting back to their normal daily activities

In a calm atmosphere, in a usual scenario, Angolans wait, each in their own corner, for the release of the results.

For the 2022 election, 14. 3 million voters were registered, including  22, 560 residing abroad.
