Mbanza-Kongo - The candidate for leadership of the Angolan Women's League (LIMA), female wing of the largest opposition party UNITA, Antonieta Cesaltina Kulanda, said on Saturday, in Mbanza-Kongo, Province of Zaire, that she intends to combat poverty among women, if she is elected.
LIMA will hold its 5th congress on October 4th and 5th to elect a new president of this female organization.
Cesaltina Kulanda, 49 years old, stated, when presenting her program to local activists, said that she will invest more in female entrepreneurship, so that women feel financially empowered.
“Our focus will be more on those women without academic and professional training so that they are aware of State policies”, she asserted.
Also competing for the top seat at LIMA are Etna Iveth Nunda Kapapela and Maria Alice Chivemba.
