Luanda - The Republic of Angola reiterated, on Friday (Nov 8), in Bangui, its support for the Inclusive Program on the execution of the Joint Roadmap for Peace in the Central African Republic (CAR), with emphasis on the creation of favorable conditions for implementation of the Disarmament, Demobilization, Reinsertion and Repatriation (DDRR) process and the implementation of community programs to reduce violence in conflict zones.

During a visit to the Central African press organs (radio and television), as part of the festivities of the 49th anniversary of National Independence, the Consul General of Angola in Bangui, Nkosi Mankenda, spoke of the fundamental role of radio within the community, mainly in regions where access to other means of communication is limited.

The Angolan diplomat, who was followed on these visits by members of the Angolan consular mission in Bangui, also said that within the framework of the Implementation of the Luanda Roadmap for Peace and Security in CAR, community radios must play a crucial role in society, to the elevation of citizenship, the recovery of values, as well as the formation and consolidation of a generalized public opinion, aware of its constitutional rights and duties.

On Central African Television, the Angolan diplomat highlighted its role in the construction of cultural and national identity, and on possible cooperation partnerships with Angolan public communications companies, namely Rádio Nacional de Angola (Angola National Radio) and Televisão Pública de Angola (Angola Public television), as well as in the training of Central African journalists at the Journalist Training Center (CEFOJOR), in Luanda.

Regarding the sending of content in French to CAR, the director of Central African Television (TCF) considered the information content of Public Television of Angola to be “qualitative”, highlighting with great emphasis the Angolan soap opera WINDECK, with cultural standards where glamor It is mixed with ambition and considered the passion novel of many Central Africans.

At the end of the visit, Nkosi Mankenda expressed his satisfaction with the intention of the respective media bodies to cooperate with their counterparts in Angola, not only in sending 'made in Angola' content to Bangui, but also for the vitality of diplomatic relations between Angola and the Central African Republic.
