Luanda - Angola was elected, for the second time, chairman of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR).
The country replaces the Republic of Congo, which ends its two-year term this year.
The election of Angola took place at the 8th Ordinary Summit of Heads of State and Government of ICGLR, held via videoconference, from the Republic of Congo.
The Angolan President, João Lourenço, attended the event.
